As a founder of Hot Glass Academy, Devan Cole, is a glass art educational provider and glass artist. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Glass from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009. Following his degree, Devan has been awarded many educational scholarships, internships, and artist residencies at locations including Robert College (Istanbul), First City Art Center (Florida), Simon Pearce (Vermont), Urban Glass (New York), Pittsburgh Glass Center (Pennsylvania), Corning Museum of Glass (New York), Goggleworks (Pennsylvania), Salem Art Works (New York), and Appalachian Center for Craft (Tennessee).

Devan is currently based in Americus, Georgia and through his business he is working to demonstrate and teach glass art to as many communities as possible, in and outside of the US. He plans to teach in New Delhi, India soon.
